Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919–2009) was an interior and furniture designer, born in Gotland, Sweden. Jakobsson apprenticed as a carpenter before studying architecture in Gothenburg. Initially working as an industrial designer for General Motors, he went on to assist Swedish furniture designer Carl Malmsten, and Finnish designer Werner West. Jakobsson founded his own company Ellysett, in 1951. Ellysett made many pine lamps for IKEA in the 1970's based on his earlier designs. Today Jakobsson’s work can be found in private homes as well as public institutions throughout Sweden. The T510 pendant lamp exists in many variations.
