Upsala-Ekeby was a ceramic factory outside Uppsala (1885-1978) making bricks, wall tiles, masonry heaters, tableware, and decorative ceramics. Ingrid Atterberg (1920–2008) designed for Upsala-Ekeby between 1944–1964, developing a refined modern vocabulary that combined sculptural form with restrained surface treatment.
