Her major success came in 1986 with the top selling collections Open Minds and Caramba, and with Tulipa in 1992. In addition to her work in glass, Ulrica was also a painter, ceramic artist and textile artist. Ulrika Hydman Vallien’s art is represented by the Modern Museum in Stockholm, and Victoria & Albert Museum in London, among others.
Kosta Boda is a Swedish glassmaking company founded in 1742 in Småland, Sweden. Originally making practical glass items like window panes, chandeliers, and drinking glasses, the products gradually evolved into decorative and artistic glasswork. Today their glass items are typically hand-blown or hand-finished, giving each piece its own character with subtle variations in color and texture.
