The Montgomery Schoolhouse is a maker of handcrafted wooden toys originally based in Montgomery, Vermont, established in 1971. It became known for producing high-quality, traditionally styled wooden children’s toys, including trains, cars, alphabet blocks, and other classic playthings, made from woods like eastern white pine and rock maple. In 2001, the Montgomery Schoolhouse line was acquired by Maple Landmark Woodcraft, a Vermont-based wooden products manufacturer that continues to produce Montgomery Schoolhouse toys and carry on its tradition.
